The Fem Dems are committed to supporting policies that reflect intersectional feminist values. We believe that all issues can be viewed through a feminist lens, and that policies must consider the most marginalized in our communities. Fem Dems support and endorsements are vetted and discussed at the Political Affairs Committee.

    Equal pay; women in the workforce and non-traditional fields; women in leadership and c-suite positions; women in disproportionately low-income, high-risk, and labor intensive jobs; combating workplace discrimination and harassment

  2. Health, Safety, & Reproductive Freedom
    accessible and affordable abortion, reproductive healthcare, preventive care and contraception; sexual assault and domestic violence prevention; healthy pregnancies, perinatal, and infant care; access to women’s mental health support and treatment; reduction in social determinants of health affecting women; inclusion of women in health research and data collection

  3. Access to Child Care & Family-Friendly Policies
    Affordable and accessible childcare; fair pay for childcare providers; flexible, family-friendly workplace policies; paid family leave; support for caregivers of older adults and those with disabilities; expanding access to affordable ECE

  4. Protecting Vulnerable Communities
    Combating human trafficking; protecting rights and safety of sex workers; protecting safety and rights of incarcerated women; advocating for LGBTQ equality, representation, and safety; combatting intersectional inequities that disproportionately affect women
